Ruben Staub

born in 1992, the clarinetist Ruben Staub completed his “Pre-College” studies at Dr. Hoch's Conservatoire Frankfurt from 2009 to 2011, he was taught by Roland Diry (Ensemble Modern) and Sven van der Kuip (HR Symphonie Orchestra). Since 2012 he has been studying with Prof. Thomas Lindhorst at the Music High School in Detmold. In addition to his classical training, he has been working intensively for many years with klezmer music.
He was a member of the County Youth Wind Orchestra, the Symphony Wind Orchestra and the Hessian County Youth Symphony Orchestra. He regularly takes part in workshops and courses including the Frühjahrstagung des Instituts für Neue Musik und Musikerzeihung Darmstadt (Spring Conference of the INMM), the Akademie für Alte Musik Magguzano (Academy for Early Music Magguzano) and the Ferienmusikwerkstatt Vlotho (Summer Music Workshop Vlotho) amongst others.
In 2011 he attended a masterclass led by Prof. Martin Spangenberg, the maestro Giora Feidman (Klezmer in the Galilee in Safed, Israel) and Prof. Joy Farall (Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London, UK).
Ruben Staub has played concerts across Germany (including at the MDR in Leipzig), in Jerusalem (Israel), Cana (Italy) and in Cochin and Hyderabad (India).
